The Car was built over the first 2 months of 2004, completed for the Top Hat test day at Goodwood in March
I suppose the biggest achievement of the first outing was that nothing fell off or broke, which was more than can be said for some we've made more than a few changes since, including a new and improved engine, see our engineering pages for some of the ongoing developements and services we can provide. We started the year with some Short 20 minute sprint races in order to help develop the car and the driver, the goal for 2004 was to get established and familiarised with the various race series in the UK with a view to concentrating on one series for 2005 with a more competitive and reliable team.
Snetterton June 2004, our first one hour race, finished 11th overall and 3rd in class.
Cadwell Park, one of the prettiest circuits in the UK full circuit includes the mountain and demanding Halls bends, a great challenge in any vehicle.
Another 1 hour race, this time at Spa Francorchamps, arguably the greatest circuit on the planet Iit was a close run thing to get there, but we made it.
flat out past the old pits at Spa, Picture taken by Pat, for more of these see here This is our Freind and fellow racer Peter Mallets website
Not many people have raced here recently. . . .Aintree The Willment Cortina GT raced very successfully in 1963 and 64 . . . when the full GP circuit closed This picture was taken in November at the newly organised AIntree Historic festival, we had a good weekend. Two major observations where that Horses and cars don't mix (see Goodwood) and race cars like tarmac, not gravel, thats for rally cars ! I spent 4 hours cleaning crap ot of my engine bay after that weekend, and the front panel looked like it had been shot by a farmer !
