| High Ratio steering arms |
|
These have now, finally been manufactured to a standard we're happy with. the prototypes were hand made and have been successfully campaigned on our car for over 2 years now. Designed to give 2.5 turns lock to lock. They will replace std Ford Steering arms which will reduce the lock to lock ratio from 3.7 turns to 2.5 still retaining a standard steering box. We have designed these with a 3 degree offset to match thos of the Lotus Cortina, rather than the 9 degrees of a standard arm. This should have the effect of neutralising the Ackerman angle, this is obviously dependant on specific wheelbase and car set up. The arms are also machined to accept a readily available standard ball joint kit rather than the expensive Lotus item. They are machined from EN24 steel billet, and therefore will be well suited to the most arduous use, specifically motorsport
£300.00 per pair, bare £375.00 per pair assembled with new QH ball joints (supplied by the MK1 Cortina owners club) here's proof they work . . . . and no I didn't spin!
