Welcome to Throbnozzle Racing, We restore and develop vintage engines, for historic motorsport, notably Fords Kent engine and the myriad of sports cars in which they where fitted.

We specialize in cylinder head development and camshaft design for classic and vintage competition engines. With the use of an in house flow bench and computer generated dyno simulation we can match parts and test engine specifications before financial commitment to expensive components is made.

Our niche is Fords precrossflow engines. These motors developed and built by ourselves have been fitted and raced in cars such as Lotus, Ginetta, Lola, Merlyn, Tornado, GSM, Rochdale, Marcos, Merlyn, TVR, and Turner, as well as numerous 1960's Fords and single seater's.More unusually the precrossflow even found its way into speedboats. We stock a full range of components for their every need.

More recently we've built and developed some Rootes engines including a 1590cc for a '58 Hillman Minx racer which produces an impressive 139 BHP @6900 RPM.

We're just back from Snetterton HRDC race meeting with printed proof Throbnozzle Racing are a winning choice. Pole position, outright race win and fastest lap.
