Welcome to Throbnozzle Racing, We restore and develop vintage 8 valve pre and cross flow cylinder heads, particularly Fords Kent engine. We have comprehensive in house machining facilities and a recently installed flow bench which allows us to compare and develop all manner of cylinder heads.

We also specialize in Ford Kent pre and cross flow engine development, the popularity of these engines appears to be a never ending source of interest and development, from 997cc anglia's an FJ screamers up to 1800cc for road rally and race.

precrossflow engines developed and built by ourselves have been fitted and raced in cars such as Lotus, Ginetta, Tornado, GSM, Rochdale, Marcos, Merlyn, TVR, and Turner, as well as numerous 1960's Ford saloons and single seaters. More unusually the precrossflow even found its way into Albatross and Delta speedboats.

We also provide a bespoke restoration and preparation service for historic cars road or race.

We've recently had a quiet relaxing weekend in France, a respectable 31st overall from 75 in the less than speedy but thoroughly enjoyable Funbeam Harrington Alpine.
